The children in the art clubs, along with P6/7 pupils have been working hard to produce art work for our art exchange with San Vicente Ferrer Primary School in Chile. My group of 5-7 year olds decided to focus on wildlife around the West coast of Scotland this year. We have seals, dolphins, beavers, otters – and a lot of sheep. here are some of my favourites (other wildlife to follow shortly).
Children did a guided drawing in pencil onto coloured sugar paper before moving on to (the very messy but lovely) chalk pastels. Sheep were cut out and pasted onto ink backgrounds (with salt crystals) – A technique they absolutely adore!
Who knew sheep could have such different personalities?
