I love this project. You find it being posted time and again on pinterest and art education blogs – and for good reason: Everyone has “success”; it can be adapted to the different seasons (I have also done a ‘wnter’ version); it can be completed in one session and is embraced by all age groups.
This project was done last year – I roughly followed the ‘Deep Space Sparkle’ lesson here, adapting it to suit our group and the lovely Autumn colours. I encouraged the kids to really play with the brush-strokes and to mix those colours you see on a crisp October day in Scotland. I love how the different personalities come through in the brushstrokes.
